WestWind energy,
Founded in the winter of 1998, is one of Germany's leading full-service providers of windenergy projects. The first Wind farm was the summer of 1999 in Lemke in the community of Marklohe (Lower Saxony in Northern Germany) to the grid.
WestWind Verwaltungs GmbH was established as the administrative unit for the supervision of the newly established wind park. Ideas for further projects already began to arise during the planning phase for the Lemke Wind Park. The task of following up on this was then transferred to WestWind Projektierungs GmbH & Co. KG.
Since then, WestWind energy has developed an ever expanding range of further projects.
The idea of cooperating with investors to combine profitability and environmental protection has indeed proven to be a success: 135 wind turbines with 255 MW and an average availability of about 99% will have gone into the grid by the end of 2010.
From a serious contribution to environmental protection the renewable energy business, especially wind energy, is a promising investment for all involved – investors and environment are profiting alike. A single wind turbine of the megawatt class (2.0 MW) – the type WestWind energy preferably installs now – produces approx. 6,000.000 kWh per year, energy sufficient to supply about 1,600 households with clean electricity.

WestWind International GmbH
WestWind Projektierungs GmbH & Co. KG and WestWind International GmbH - with its managing director Dipl.-Ing. Gerard Meindertsma - ambitiously trying to explore new locations and develop suitable projects for these sites.
Assignments:
- Identification, acquisition, leasing, and / or purchase of appropriate land for wind farms sites
- Coordination of projects with responsible authorities, negotiation and agreements with authorities, landholders and investors
- Obtaining all necessary expert opinions and permits for the realisation and operation of the wind farm
- Negotiation with power utilities, grid operators and power retailers
- Construction of grid connection and substations
- Supervision of the wind farm construction through to the commissioning
- Delivery and final inspection of the project
WestWind Verwaltungs GmbH
WestWind Sevice GmbH & Co. KG
WestWind Verwaltungs GmbH and WestWind Sevice GmbH & Co. KG - with its managing directors Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Osterholz and Dipl.-Kfm. Carsten Radeke - provide the administration as well as the commercial and technical management for the operating companies.
Assignments:
- Technical management of the wind energy facilities including quality insurance and ongoing technical inspection
- Administration and management of individually operating companies
- Organisation and execution of annual shareholder meetings
- Regular information to all investors and partners about current developments and project status
- Personal consultation and assistance for investors on all issues around wind energy investment
The economic success of WestWind energy
